Flashing fault codes
To display the fault codes, it is necessary to turn off the engine, turn the ignition switch to the "I" position and turn on the diagnostic mode with the diagnostic check switch.
If there are no active faults, the stop lamp and warning alarm remain on, but do not blink. But if active fault codes are present, the ECU starts flashing fault codes.
Before the start of flashing the fault code, the warning alarm lamp turns on, after it is turned off, the ECU displays (blinks) with the stop lamp the number of the active fault code (short pauses indicate the end of the sign).
Switching on the warning lamp again means that the stop lamp starts showing (flashing) the next number of the active fault code (the function of separating the subsequent fault code from the previous one).
The ECU continues to display the fault code until the user uses the diagnostic switch to switch the fault code to the next or previous one.
The control system uses three- and four-digit fault codes.
The diagnostic mode remains active until the diagnostic switch is turned off, or until the engine is turned on.
